More
than 15 years ago British band PSB enjoyed huge popularity among teenagers. Then, like
manybands, the duo faded from the Thai music radar.
But suddenly, their name has come up again, not because of their latest
CD but because of a planned concert in the Kingdom on August 2.
The sponsor,GSM Advance, needed to boost awareness through a special programme
on Ch3 to "re-introduce"them to Thai audiences prior to the
concert,to e held at the Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani.
Obviously, singer Neil Tennant and Keyboardist Chris Lowe have aged a great
deal since the glory days,so they're much older than members of many popular
boybands such as Westlife and Blue.
This explains why ticket prices start at Bt600(ten pounds)-relatively
low, compared to concerts by other foreign pop acts.Unfortunately,PSB are
too young to charge"nostalgia act"prices but they are too old
to be "hot".
